SARVA SEVA SANGH, MUMBAI THEN & NOW

Inaugurated in October 2003, Sarva Seva Sangh (SSS) began its socio-economic, developmental and philanthropic activities in January 2004. From its very inception, SSS has been involved in the empowerment of street children, underprivileged children in slums, waste picking/waste picker’s children, children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and school dropout as well as under privileged youth in Andheri and other parts of Mumbai. All these activities have been classified into three projects: Street/Slum Children/Child welfare Project, School Dropout youth Project, HIV Medical, Educational & Nutritional support. Besides these major three projects, SSS carries on Migrant Ministry, mainly catering to the pastoral and communitarian care of the catholic migrants to this metro city, very particularly those who are engaged in domestic work, table boys in restaurants and shops etc., AND ministry towards rehabilitation of substance abusers, very particularly the alcoholics.

During the initial years, Sarva Seva Sangh, functioned as a branch of Sarva Seva Sangh Pune. Later on, from 2010 onwards, it ceased to be a branch of Sarva Seva Sangh, Pune, and started operating as a unit of All India Soverdia Sangam Tust, Andheri.

On April 20, 2018, Sarva Seva Sangh was registered as a separate Charitable Trust. The newly formed Trust firmly believes that empowering presence can transform lives, which will lead to the transformation of the society. It continues to be a Centre for the rehabilitation of People at risk.
